Rugby League

the Musical?

The man who produced the viral State Of Origin anthem “That’s In Queensland” is back at The Bridge Hotel for one more show of his cult hit musical sketch comedy show Rugby League – The Musical.

Comedy and theatre lovers with no understanding of the sport, and footy aficionados alike have thoroughly enjoyed it. ARLC Chairman and former Queensland Premier Peter Beattie, said: “I’d recommend it to anyone, not just NRL fans.”

For over a decade, Denis Carnahan has been producing satirical songs and parodies about Rugby League’s many colourful characters and controversies. They’ve featured on ABC Grandstand, The Footy Show, Fox Sports, Fire-Up!, Triple M and many more, and had millions of hits on Youtube.

Brilliantly blending these songs with videos, live sketch comedy, impersonations and stand-up, into a high energy and hilarious one man live show, Carnahan sets out with help from the audience, to prove that rugby league is not just The Greatest Game Of All but also The Greatest Musical of All.

“Hilarious. The night I went, one guy laughed so hard, he passed out! (true story).”
Chris Bath, ABC NSW Evenings Radio Host

“Rugby League The Musical is as ridiculously hilarious as it sounds”
Anthony Sharwood – Network Ten, Sports Tonight

“It is hilarious – he is an actual genius”
Yvonne Sampson – Fox Sports

Todd Greenberg, NRL CEO

“His ability to put footballers into songs and make music out of it is just incredible and I absolutely endorse going to see him at any of his shows. He’s fantastic.”

“Insightful. He knows what goes on behind closed doors. Great Show!”
Geoff Toovey – former player, coach and Rugby League Legend.
