A memorial show is being held at The Bridge Hotel on Tuesday 15th January to honour the life of our dear friend John Power.
John holds a special place in our hearts here at The Bridge.
John played bass and was vocalist in legendary local outfit The Hippos who helped kick start The Bridge and were resident band here over thirty years ago from 1986 performing here every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for years.
A raconteur, an authority on all things defence (above and below sea level) and many other topics as well as bass player and vocalist in numerous outfits. John played in The Hippos, The Foreday Riders, Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons, The Rock Doctors and Co.Caine as well as with international artists such as Roy Buchanan.
To celebrate his life, many of his musical colleagues/friends will perform at this memorial show:
